It takes about 15 minutes to walk to The Woodman and The Masons Arms in North Leigh, 45 minutes to The Royal Oak and about an hour to get to The Plough in Finstock. We really like the walk to The Royal Oak which heads through Coneygar Copse and Holly Grove also known as the Bluebell Wood . You are basically following the Wychwood Way footpath. Please note it can get a bit muddy. Always best to book if you are going to eat at any of the pubs.

As you leave the farm/cottages turn right down the track

Carry on down the main track

At the end of the first field there is a path on the right

take the turn on the right if you are going to The Woodman or The Masons Arms in North leigh

For The Royal Oak and The Plough bear left and stay on the main track

After 400 meteres (ish) you will see a sign to Wilcote

Turn right onto this track

Soon you will see a stone wall on your right

At the end of the wall turn left- there will be a high hedge on your left

As the track turns to the right you will see a footpath on your left- turn into the wood.

Go right through the wood until you reach a road and turn left up the road.

The first footpath (on the right) is to Finstock- follow this if going to The Plough.

Take the 2nd public footpath you see on the right.

The wood will be on your left. Follow the footpath signs and after a while turn into the wood.

Carry along the footpath.

Turn right when you reach the road- Wilcote Lane

Go down the road and at the T junction turn right

You will see The Royal Oak on your right
